 | Crews Complete Transfer Work
7 September 2009
Discovery’s astronauts have finished all of their work outside the International Space Station. Mission Specialists Danny Olivas and Christer Fuglesang spent 7 hours and 1 minute outside the station on Saturday in the third and final spacewalk of STS-128 mission.
On Sunday, the 13 crew members aboard Discovery and the ISS completed final transfer work between the two spacecraft in preparation for Monday’s scheduled return of "Leonardo" back to the orbiter’s payload bay.
With seven days of docked operations behind them, the astronauts and cosmonauts will say their goodbyes and close the hatches Monday about 10:30 p.m. EDT.
