New CEO for ACUTRONIC Switzerland

14 October 2010

Nick Wälli (1966) has held the position of ACUTRONIC Switzerland’s Chief Operating Officer since spring 2010.

Nick Wälli will be assisted by a technical director, a new function, to be filled in due time. Underlining the advantages of this organizational model, Nick Wälli stated that “dual management is the way to go to further improve our efficiency and come up with more technical innovations for the benefit of our customers.”

On graduating from the Cantonal High School of Aarau (Switzerland), Nick Wälli studied management at the University of St.Gallen, with a higher degree in accounting and finance. His first job was in investment banking at UBS Zurich, where he was involved with IPOs and mergers and acquisitions from 1993 to 1999. Nick Wälli then made the move to industry, first, in 1999, as Head of Sales for Swiss machine tool manufacturer Tornos SA. In 2002, he moved to Esslingen, near Stuttgart/Germany, and took over a new position as Head of export sales for German industrial group INDEX. He acquired valuable experience with countries such as Turkey, Russia and India, all important ACUTRONIC markets.
