SpaceX’s astronaut launch marks the dawn of the commercial human spaceflight industry - TechCrunch

31 May 2020

The first crewed orbital launch from the United States in nearly nine years took place May 30, placing a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft with two NASA astronauts on board into orbit, bound for the International Space Station. A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. The Crew Dragon spacecraft atop the rocket’s upper stage separated 12 minutes later after achieving low Earth orbit.
