India launched an upgraded version of its Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle with
liftoff, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch
Vehicle (GSLV) debuted an enhanced second stage with a more powerful engine. The
rocket deployed GSAT-6A, a communications satellite, for the Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO).
