 | Analysis of new approach trajectories at DLR: Flight test and ground-noise measurement campaign
30 July 2009
In flight trials with the research aircraft –˜ATTAS’, the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) tested novel approach trajectories that showed potential for noise reduction over populated regions. By using these new approach paths, aircraft noise can be redistributed over other, ideally uninhabited or less populous, areas.
